Clinical Supervision and Consultation

Clinical supervision

Calling all associate therapists! If the thought of working with clients who proudly wear the mantle of “nerd” or “geek” instantly charges your health bar, I’d love to help you fulfill your mission. As an LMHC and approved supervisor in Washington state, I can provide 100 percent of the required supervision hours for LMHCAs; I am approved to provide a portion of the required hours for LSWAICs and LMFTAs.

Your supervision sessions with me will focus on self-care, client safety, theories and techniques, and best practices for documentation. We will collaborate in order to make the best decisions for you and your practice, with an emphasis on exploring all of the potential outcomes first. We’ll team up to discover how you work best and to help you build a caseload that doesn’t totally overwhelm you or lead to burnout. I tend to pull from three different modalities of therapy: DBT, EMDR, and geek therapy. Above all, I’m person-centered: I believe that clients are the expert on their lived experiences. As therapists, it is our job to listen. I am loudly and proudly autism-affirming; I also strive to be LGBTQ-affirming, fat-positive, and anti-racist and to stand against all forms of oppression. Ultimately, my goal is to help you develop your own therapeutic style and become the therapist you want to be—I don’t want to clone myself.

Click here to request a free initial 15-minute consultation (via GoogleMeet) to see if we’re a good fit for each other. If we decide to work together, we’ll continue to meet online via SimplePractice; all documentation and payments will be managed through SimplePractice. (At least for now, while I figure out my exit plan. Learn more here.) My supervision rate is $190 per hour, with an agreement to meet at least two hours per month—if I’m going to be your primary supervisor. If you already have a primary supervisor and are looking to get more hours and/or more specialized supervision, we can be more flexible with how often we meet. If at any point we decide we’re not a good fit, I’ll provide referrals for other supervisors who can meet your needs.

Clinical consultation

I provide consultation (via GoogleMeet) for clinicians who are working with clients who are neurodivergent (diagnosed or not). I have found there are a lot of preconceptions around autism and have heard the phrase “you don’t seem autistic” enough times to know that it is frequently missed in adults. I was well into my thirties before I learned that I am autistic, and now I work with clients who are discovering this about themselves for the first time. I help clinicians navigate how the skill-based therapies such as DBT can come across to autistic clients; how those skills can be construed as masking (working toward unmasking is a common goal for autistic clients); and how meltdowns, shutdowns, and burnout can look a lot like “just anxiety and depression.” My rate is $190 per hour; click here to get started.
